LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has issued directives according to which all customers are supposed to pay their full electricity bills every month and facility of installment plan has been withdrawn.
According to sources, all customers are required to pay their bills on monthly basis and no installment scheme would be provided from now onwards.
This new plan has been applied with immediate effect to better the recovery of all pending dues.
Minister for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali has said that subsidies for impoverished would continue wihtout any change. Government has taken this step after examining the performances of the heads of electricity distribution companies.
