Leading from the front

All are in praise of the address of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif as he was speaking to a magnificent ceremony at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to mark Defence Day on Sunday.

COAS said the time has come to resolve the Kashmir issue according to the UN resolutions. Answering the provocative statements of Indian leaders, he said Pakistan is ready for any ‘traditional’ or ‘non-traditional’ war, and any ‘cold’ or ‘hot start’.

He not only praised the importance of September 6 in the history of Pakistan when our country inflicted a humiliating defeat on the aggressor but also reiterated that country is on the right track. He said he is affirming with a lot of conviction that today our country is much stronger and the Pakistani nation more resolute than ever before.

Success of operation Zarb-e-Azb was also highlighted as the terrorists have been eliminated who were posing threats to challenge the writ of the state. He also talked about barbaric and inhuman APS Peshawar incident which reinvigorated the national resolve against terrorism. He also assured that that most of the terrorists involved in that incident have already been brought to justice. He reiterated that until all terrorists, their financiers, abettors, facilitators and sympathizers are brought to justice; NAP would not be considered implemented in true spirit. COAS also vowed for the completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor at any cost.

At the moment it seems that along with his professional duties to make this country free from menace of terrorism, he is fulfilling the vacuum of effective foreign policies created by lack of vision of political government. According to a very recent survey COAS is the most popular person in the country. On the other side, people are discussing on social media that why face of Prime Minister remains grim on every national event unlike his meetings with Indian counterpart.

Indeed people are all in praise of COAS who is leading from the front this nation in fight against terrorism.
