Kurri Road Housing Project undergoes slackness

ISLAMABAD (DNA): Kurri Road Housing Project has not been completed yet due to slackness of the authorities of Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA).

The Kurri Road Housing Project was started by the federal government for the officers of Grade 20-22 of different departments of the government in year 2011.

Sources said that the housing project was scheduled to complete in April 2014 but it could not be completed in fixed time owing to slackness on the part of PHA’s authorities and alleged misappropriations in the project.

In the wake of delay in the completion of Kurri Road Housing Project, the federal government officers of Grad-20-22 lodged complaint with Ministry of Housing and Construction following which Ministry’s authorities directed PHA to speedily complete the development work on the project.

However, after federal government’s direction PHA accorded an agreement with Engineering Management Services Company for accelerating the work on Kurri Road Housing Project and its monitoring. The Engineering Management Services Company will start work on the project on October 1, said the sources.

Sources further told that earlier contract of the Kurri Road Housing Project was given to Maxan company on Rs 580 million but the company could not complete the project in stipulated time.
