KARACHI (INP): Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Khushbakht Shujaat has called for undertaking development program in Sindh as was being done in other provinces.
While addressing protesters at Teen Talwar Karachi on Saturday, Khushbakht said people were coming out on streets, which was an alarming trend.
MQM senior leader maintained that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders had violated their party’s manifesto by opposing the demands for establishment of new administrative units in Sindh.
“Local units are made all over the world to strike a balance between resources and problems,” she said asking rulers to explain why local body system was not being set up.
“We will have to set up new administrative units to strengthen and unite the country,” she said.
Altaf Hussain always raised voice for the poor and middle class, Khushbakht Shujaat added.
Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Khushbakht Shujaat further said today only few thousand people came out to protest but in few days they can turn in to millions.
The MQM leader said that those running after the power had nothing to do with the plight of masses. She maintained that people would now stand up for their rights.
“It is neither a rally nor a political congregation or sit-in. It is a gathering of civil society,” Khushbakht Shujaat concluded.
