Lauds role of armed forces to curb menace of terrorism
PASRUR: Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that India is supporting the terrorists and militants to destabilize Pakistan and defame it in the international community.
Addressing a large public gathering in village Kangra, teshsil Pasru near working boundary in Sialkot on Sunday, Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan is well aware of Indian intervention by backing the terrorists but still it wants good working relations with the neighbouring country.
He lauded the sacrifices and efforts of armed forces of Pakistan to wipe out menace of terrorism from the country and said that armed forces have made of the defence of country invincible.
The Defence Minister said that military operation “Zarb-e-Azb” against militancy in the tribal areas will continue till the last terrorist was eliminated. He said that entire Pakistani nation is united to curb terrorism and they were standing at the back of their armed forces and ready to render all sacrifices for sovereignty and stability of the country.
Khawaja Asif expressed solidarity with the residents of villages located along Sialkot working boundary who often become victim of Indian aggression from across the border. He vowed that government will spare no efforts for development and uplifting the lives of people of these areas.
The Defence Minister along with MNA Chaudhry Armaghan Subhani also inaugurated the project of construction of GovernmentGirlsDegreeCollege building in village Bajra Garhi and one way Kangra-Sialkot road project with an estimated cost of Rs1.2 billion.
He said that development work on Sialkot-Lahore Expressway with an estimated cost of Rs56 billion will be started soon.
