Islamabad: In a startling revelation former Additional Secretary of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Afzal Khan claimed that former ECP secretary Kanwar Dilshad had met Asif Ali Zardari (the then President of Pakistan) in President House and offered him victory in 68 constituencies provided that he (Zardari) appoints him on a ‘good’ post.
Afzal Khan was speaking in Roze News program Analysis with Asif. He added that his claim can be confirmed from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nadeem Afzal Chan. Both Kanwar Dilshad and Nadeem Afzal were approached for comment on Afzal’s claim but they couldn’t be reached as their mobiles were switched off.
Afzal added that the 22nd constitutional amendment has dealt another blow to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan who is too naïve to understand the issue. He said that Imran struggled for long against rigging in the election but in the end agreed on a ‘pointless’ amendment.
