ISLAMABAD: Appreciating Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s expression of unflinching faith in Islam during his historic address to the parliament on Thursday, Ameer, Jamaat e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has urged the Pakistani rulers to learn a lesson from that and stop feeling shy about their faith.

Talking to the media after attending the session, he said the Turkish President had given an ambiguous message and an ultimate goal to the 200 million people of Pakistan and the entire Ummah.

‘By declaring Islam as his real force, the Turkish leader has clarified that Islam guides us to rise above racial, ethnic, regional and sectarian biases and stand as one Ummah’ he said.

The JI chief welcomed the visiting President’s statement terming Turkey and Pakistan as ‘two countries and one Ummah’, his firm support to the Kashmiris’ just cause and his pledge to stand by this Pakistan in moments of grief.

Sirajul Haq said that President Erdogan’s stance with regard to terrorism was also clear as he believed that the Muslim world and Pakistan is actually the target of terrorism which was being backed by the west which had shoved terrorism on the Muslims after being defeated in the field of argument.

He said that Turkish President’s all out support to the Kashmiris had won the hearts of the people of Pakistan and Kashmir and set an example for the rulers in Islamabad.

Highly appreciating Turkish President’s announcement to finance Ph. D. studies for five hundred Pakistani students, he said this was the best opportunity for the new generation to benefit from the offer. He pointed out that the teachings of Maulana Rome and Allama Iqbal had also given the message for unity to the Muslim world. INP
