ISLAMABAD: Director General Election Commission of Pakistan (DG ECP) Sher Afgan said on Friday that the Judicial Commission report which dismissed allegations of rigging during the general elections 2013 had vindicated the ECP.
Sher Afgan while speaking to a private TV channel said the ECP would try to eliminate shortcomings identified in the judicial commission report.
“This report will act as a guide for us (ECP). You will see a vast improvement in the 2018 elections after electoral reforms and guidelines in this report.”
He added that the report informs the ECP where there is room for improvement and there is enough time before the 2018 elections for electoral reforms and improving current procedures.
