ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar called the Foreign Ministers of China and the United Arab Emirates to apprise them of the progress made with India.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar contacted his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and on this occasion the Emirati Foreign Minister welcomed the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.
The Deputy Prime Minister appreciated the diplomatic efforts of the UAE for peace and stability in the region.
According to the Foreign Office, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also contacted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Xi and Ishaq Dar apprised Wang Xi of the Indian aggression and Pakistan’s response.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Xi appreciated Pakistan’s restraint and responsible behavior and said that China stands with Pakistan to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
On this occasion, the two leaders agreed to maintain close communication and continued coordination in the coming days.
