Pakistan pacer Muhammad Irfan with a recurrence of the hip injury, the left arm fast bowler was rested against Ireland but still hasn’t recovered.

Irfan underwent an MRI scan on Monday, according to the Pakistan cricket team physiotherapist Brad Robinson the detailed report will make the situation more clear after which the decision will be taken whether to include him in the team for the match against Australia.

Irfan has so far taken 8 wickets in the world cup which included three crucial wickets against South Africa which eventually led to the Pakistan victory, the bowler has been praised world cup winning former captain Imran Khan and the sultan of swing Wasim Akram. Pakistan opted to go with pacer Ehsan Adil in the match against Ireland when Irfan was not available. If Irfan indeed misses out it will be a big blow to Pakistan who rely to a great extent on the bowler’s wickets upfront.
