Iran agrees to supply 2000 MW electricity to Balochistan

NNI11-10QUETTA, Jan 11 (NNI): Iran has agreed to supply two thousand MW electricity to Balochistan, the government of Balochistan says.

This was announced by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik and Governor Sistan-Balochistan Aqai Ali Osat Hashmi at a joint news conference in Quetta on Sunday.

Dr Abdul Malik said one thousand MW electricity each is meant for Gwadar and rest of the province.

He said Pakistan wants to implement Pak-Iran gas pipeline project as soon as possible.

The Balochistan Chief Minister invited Iranian invest entrepreneurs in Pakistan fisher, industry, and mining sectors.

He said border committees of Pakistan and Iran will meet on 27th and 28th of this month to discuss ways to prevent border incidents.

Governor Sistan-Balochistan said Iran accords much importance to its relations withPakistan.

Answering a question, Hashmi said some mischievous elements want to create disturbances on the border to harm Pakistan-Iran relations. NNI
