PESHAWAR: Former Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan (JeI) chief Sirajul Haq has expressed concern over the behavior of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and federal governments, saying that there is unrest from DI Khan to Bajaur and there is a risk of further spread, but the provincial and central governments are fighting among themselves. Former Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan chief Sirajul Haq said in a statement that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become a sandwich due to the fight between the central and provincial governments and hundreds of people have been martyred in the name of sectarianism in Kurram. He said that massacres took place on the roads in the presence of convoys, settlements were burned in the presence of the administration, children and women were also martyred due to riots. He said that there is a further risk of civil war due to the riots, the government is not getting the message across, the federal and provincial governments are not ready to accept responsibility. Sirajul Haq said that the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister should have given up political disputes and gone to Karm, now they are saying that the administration itself is doing everything, who knows whose objectives are being fulfilled behind this civil war.
He said that has human blood become so cheap that it is being shed freely, the entire area from DI Khan to Bajaur is in the grip of unrest, these people enjoy privileges and pleasures but cannot protect the people.
He said that those who cannot provide protection to the people have no right to rule in the center and the province, as many people are not being martyred in Gaza as are being killed here.
The former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami said that the people are wondering who to talk to, so the central and provincial governments should give up disputes and play a role in extinguishing this fire.
He said that we believe that the solution to the problems is negotiations and at this time there is a need to convene a grand jirga, there is a risk that this fire will spread throughout the province and the country.
