Indian army’s Lieutenant General KH Singh on Monday warned “certain elements in Pakistan” of “unexpected damages” in the wake of repeated exchanges of fire between Indian and Pakistani border forces along the Line of Control and Working Boundary over the past week.
This is not the first time Indian officials have threatened with aggressive approach against Pakistan. But as it has been witnessed very often high official in Pakistan usually remain silent to respond such remarks from the neighboring country. We have been told by Defence Minister and law enforcing agencies about Indian involvement to assist anti-state elements in Balochistan and Karachi. But we have not raised this grave issue at the highest level.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif recently had a meeting with Indian counterpart but neither the Kashmir issue was discussed nor the Indian support to anti-state elements destabilizing Pakistan. We have a stance to live peacefully with the neighboring countries but it doesn’t mean we should not respond in the same manner as officials of neighboring countries are passing statements. We are fighting a very crucial war against terrorism. Our army has rendered great sacrifices to maintain law and order by eliminating terrorists on the Western border of the country. Perhaps successes of our army are not being digested from our neighboring country as they are seeing their dreams shattered to destabilize Pakistan which causing them to keep passing aggressive statements.
We must appreciate the efforts of Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif who always finds a way to boost the moral of soldiers of army. Army Chief General Raheel Sharif arrived in Waziristan to spend Eid-ul-Fitr with Pakistan Army soldiers. But other political leaders celebrated their eid outside the country. The political leadership has failed miserably to properly tackle the aggression shown by Indian officials.
