ISLAMABAD: Pakistan says that the boat drama staged by India has been exposed before the world.
In her weekly briefing here on Friday, foreign office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam referred to the report in Indian media on February 18 which said that that DIGIndianCoast Guard B.K. Loshali admitted it was him who gave the orders to destroy the alleged Pakistani vessel and had informed Indian authorities about it the night of the incident.
The spokesperson went on to say that the FO had already clarified earlier that there was never any boat missing from Pakistan’s waters.
Speaking on the matter of the visit of India’s Foreign Secretary, she said that there has been no date set for the talks between the Foreign Secretaries of both countries. She added that all issues between the two countries will be discussed during the talks.She said Pakistan believes that the issues between Pakistan and India can be resolved through dialogue for peace and prosperity of the region. She said Pakistan has never shied away from engaging with India.
To a question about reconciliation efforts in Afghanistan, Tasnim Aslam said it is for the Afghan government to lead the reconciliation efforts. She said Pakistan is ready to facilitate the reconciliation process and it should be fully Afghan led and Afghan owned.
She informed the media that an Afghan delegation will visit Pakistan to discuss the modalities of the return of Afghan refugees.
