Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Asim Munir has said that the recent reckless and provocative hollow statements of the Indian military leadership indicate their growing frustration, Pakistan will respond to any adventure with full force.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the 267th Corps Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military). The participants paid tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistani armed forces, law enforcement agencies and Pakistani citizens for the peace and stability of the motherland.
According to the statement, the forum shed light on the regional and internal security scenario while taking a detailed assessment of the threats faced. The participants of the conference discussed the current situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, the forum expressed solidarity with the resolute people of Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day (February 5, 2025).
According to the statement, the forum strongly condemned the continued human rights violations by India in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and termed them a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.
The ISPR said that the participants of the conference reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people in their struggle for their right to self-determination, in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions. The participants also stressed the importance of international cooperation to address the continued violations of the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
The statement said that the forum also took strong note of the recent reckless and provocative statements by the Indian military leadership and termed them irresponsible and detrimental to regional stability.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, while addressing the forum, the Army Chief said that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and integrity, these hollow statements by the Indian army indicate their growing frustration.
The army chief said that such statements are to divert the attention of its people and the international community from India’s internal turmoil and its blatant human rights violations. Pakistan will respond to any such misadventure with full force.
According to the ISPR, the forum expressed deep concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by the Fitnat al-Khawarij for terrorist acts against Pakistan. The forum stressed the need for the interim Afghan government to take concrete and practical steps against the Fitnat al-Khawarij instead of denying its presence.
According to the statement, the forum clarified that all necessary measures and strategies issued in relation to Afghanistan and the Fitnat al-Khawarij will be continued, which ensure the security of Pakistan and its people. The forum also stressed the need to accelerate people-centered socio-economic development measures in Balochistan, so as to negate the fabricated narrative of a sense of deprivation.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, the forum reiterated that no one will be allowed to disturb peace in Balochistan, the nefarious designs of foreign-backed proxies to mislead the youth of Balochistan and incite them to extremism will be thwarted with the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan.
It said that while praising the operational preparedness of all formations, the Army Chief stressed the importance of conducting mission-oriented training, improved military cooperation, and joint exercises in the areas of conventional and counter-terrorism.
The ISPR said that at the end of the conference, the Army Chief reiterated that the military leadership is fully aware of the multifaceted challenges facing the nation.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesperson, the General said that the military leadership is committed to fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities with the full support of the proud people of Pakistan.
