Lachin: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that water is the lifeline of our 240 million people, India wants to stop Pakistan’s water, which will never happen, Pakistan is fortunate that we have friends like Turkey and Azerbaijan.
He said this while addressing the Turkey, Pakistan and Azerbaijan Trilateral Conference in Lachin, Azerbaijan. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also spoke on the occasion.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that he is grateful to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for hosting the conference, the three countries are connected by common religion, values and culture and support each other on all three fundamental issues, Pakistan is fortunate that we have friends like Turkey and Azerbaijan.
He said that under the guise of the Pahalgam incident, India adopted the path of aggression while Pakistan offered a thorough investigation into the incident, India did not present any evidence of the incident and blamed Pakistan without evidence.
The Prime Minister said that India wants to stop Pakistan’s water, which will never happen, water is the lifeline of our 240 million people, we want a solution to the Kashmir issue in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
The Pakistan-India tension was disturbing for us, President of Azerbaijan
Speaking at the trilateral conference, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said that Pakistan, Turkey and Azerbaijan are bound by a common history and culture, Turkey and Pakistan helped us a lot in the war that took place in 2020, there are vast possibilities for cooperation in the defense sector between the three countries.
He said that we are reviewing investment projects worth two billion dollars, promoting partnership with Pakistan and Turkey in various sectors including defense, the three countries are moving forward together to achieve common goals, there are vast possibilities for cooperation in the defense sector between the three countries.
He said that the tension between Pakistan and India was disturbing for us, Azerbaijan strongly supported Pakistan in the recent Pakistan-India tension, and disputes should be resolved peacefully.

Speaking at the Independence Day ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that today we are celebrating Pakistan’s Youm-e-Takbir and Azerbaijan’s Independence Day together. We have recently defeated an enemy that is five times bigger than Pakistan.
He said that India attacked Pakistan on May 7 and targeted unarmed civilians. During this, Pakistan shot down five aircraft including an Indian Rafale. On May 9, India attacked Pakistani airports. I asked Field Marshal Asim Munir to teach India a lesson that it would not forget. At 4:30 in the morning, we targeted Indian military installations and won the battle for justice.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey stands with Azerbaijan in good and bad times. Today, I congratulate the people of Azerbaijan on Independence Day.
He said that Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan are three countries and one nation. We will further strengthen our friendship with Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan has become stronger with the independence of Karabakh. Turkey will stand with Azerbaijan in good and bad times.
Earlier, in his address to the trilateral conference, he said that solidarity between Turkey, Pakistan and Azerbaijan is very important for the region. The relations between the three countries are based on mutual respect and trust.
