A red alert has been issued in the country in view of the fears of cyber attacks after the Indian Army’s cowardly attack on Pakistan on the intervening night of May 6 and 7.
According to media reports, the National Cyber Emergency Response Team (NCERT) has issued an important advisory in view of possible cyber attacks. The advisory states that India may try to affect Pakistan’s important networks by taking advantage of the current situation.
Safety measures:
The advisory has directed the public to take the following precautionary measures:
1) The public has been instructed not to open suspicious links, messages and emails.
2) Keep your systems and software updated.
3) Use strong passwords and change them regularly.
4) Use two-factor authentication.
5) Avoid spreading unverified information and rumors.
