President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov’s message was also circulated on the occasion, which said, “today our nation is celebrating the 23rd anniversary of the independence day of our homeland. As we celebrate the independence day of our homeland which was gained in the toughest and severe trails and struggle, it is natural that we unwillingly ponder over what we have lived through and what we have achieved during this shor period of time.
