ISLAMABAD: The Federal Minister of Education, Rana Tanveer Hussain, stated during the inauguration ceremony of the third Roze TV channel, Roze Excel, that Roze News Excel TV will play an important role in eradicating illiteracy in the country; it should have entered the market long ago, the distance education system has grown in importance since the days of Covid, and this is an idea of SK Niazi that will be welcomed by the entire nation. It seems clear that whenever I watch TV every day, I feel that I am in a good place. The present-day TV channels are taking society away from Islamic values, but SK Niazi has maintained his Islamic traditions. He said that talks are going on with the World Bank to collect data on illiterate people in the country.
He said that when the bureaucracy is asked about the educational backwardness, they say that it is also because of the bureaucracy. But the quality of education is not there, which is why I have banned the establishment of new universities. But whenever SK Niazi announces the establishment of a new university, I will stand with him. He stated that it is critical to obtain technical education in addition to traditional education because it can help eliminate unemployment in society. “We cannot reach our destination until the teacher is trained and qualified,” the federal minister said.
He said that, God willing, things will start to improve very soon. Leader and former Member of Assembly Captain (Rtd) Safdar said that my relationship with Sardar Khan Niazi is like that of brothers, and the educational promotion project he has started through Excel TV will bring an educational revolution to Pakistan. The youth in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kohistan, Quetta, Balochistan, and other remote areas of the country that have been unable to obtain knowledge will now be able to do so, according to him, and this TV channel will surpass the Allama Iqbal Open University. He further said that Nawaz Sharif had started a comprehensive programme for the promotion of education and that we should cut our defence budget. SK will invest in education, and his announcement proved to be dangerous for him. SK Niazi has also started a very difficult program, but I hope he will succeed in this too.
He said that the life of a writer in Pakistan is very difficult; he is pressured from all sides, but if he is true to his character, he does not take any pressure into consideration, and SK Niazi has never been pressured by anyone. He said that one good thing about the army is that if they go to an area, they take their school with them. I also saw military life; civil bureaucracy also remained, and today I am suffering from rebellion cases. He said that, unfortunately, we have put everything on the government, but we do not think that we should help the government do good works.
“The focus is on agriculture; the agricultural bank provides loans for the purchase of fertilizers, seeds, and tractors, but no bank has thought that we should invest in the youth who want to build educational institutions and provide them with loans so that they can build new universities and colleges so that the burden on the government is reduced,” said Captain Safdar. How can a country develop that spends only two percent of its budget on education, he said? The Holy Prophet (PBUH) has stressed the acquisition of education and said that acquiring knowledge is the duty of every man and woman. Getting a PhD, becoming a doctor, or becoming a lawyer is not education; the real education is to become a good human being.
He said that when I was in the civil service, I used to create book banks wherever I went, where we would provide free books to deserving students. He said that the new generation needs social education. No other religion has given us the rights that have been given to us. Which religion says that heaven is at the feet of the mother? It has to be done, which is why it is very important to get access to the English language in order to achieve development in this era. He said, “Let’s start an awareness programme in Pakistan.” Not knowing the name, he said that today I would have become a dentist, painter, or mechanic.
He said that SK Niazi is serving the future generations of Pakistan, and his reward is He said that I am proud to say that SK Niazi does not go to any door to ask for advertisements; he is bringing children to religion, training them morally, and doing this through his TV channels. Courageous TV channel and we are proud of them, while addressing the ceremony, renowned intellectual researcher and teacher Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that in our society, respect is done by looking at the position of a person, but real respect is based on human values.
It happens; it is said that this person is a graduate of so-and-so university and has studied at such-and-such institution, but the basic fact is that the greatest comprehensive embrace is the mother; the environment of the home becomes a school if that school is inside a person. Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that today we need to highlight the aspect of moral values, where SK Niazi took the initiative to popularise education. They should also take on the responsibility of moral training the young generation and pay attention to building the morals of the nation, he said. He stated that we have become a poor and unemployed nation, that two and a half million of our children are out of school, that they are involved in child labor, that we are not sending them to school, that the mattress has fallen on us, that Pakistan and India gained independence only one day ago, but their education ratio is 100%, and that their foreign exchange reserve is zero.
He said that I have always cherished my friendship with Sardar Khan Niazi, that he respects me like his teachers, and that I know in this era how difficult it is to run a media house; these TV channels and newspapers are not their source of income, but they pay their employees on time, he said; the orientation series on Roze Excel TV should continue, and SK Niazi should pay attention to the moral training of the young generation; his TV channels are already doing well, he said; his TV channels are already doing well, he said “I have seen SK Niazi very closely; my relationship with him for 45 years; when I was DC Rawalpindi, I started my friendship with him; he is a very brave, and domineering personality.”
In the past, when we were under reproach, my relatives, including those who met me, stopped passing in front of my house, but even at that time, SK Niazi Sahib took care of us. And he did not let this relationship break; he used to come to my house to meet me; he had such courage and boldness that he did not take any pressure into account.
Saeed Mehdi said that he explained the great importance of knowledge in Islam. He said that the Prophet prayed to Allah, the Exalted, and asked for knowledge, but did not ask for the expansion of his government or wealth.
He said that geographical restrictions cannot be imposed on knowledge; it can be obtained by going anywhere. He said that we have stopped respecting our teachers; their respect is very important, he said. “Bangladesh, which seceded from us, has excelled in education, controlled the birth rate, and in fact, they are ahead of us; this is possible only if we respect our teachers,” said SK Niazi. Senator Hidayatullah Khan said that in the subcontinent the aspect of slavery came because they did not focus on getting education. In 1919, Muslim scholars established 1400 madrasas to teach tolerance. They claimed that Hindus advanced ahead of us because they learned about motivation and inspired their young generation to get an education, but our Muslims ignored this.
Sardar Khan Niazi’s launch of Roze Excel TV was a bold move. It will be written with golden letter in history and it will be a great blessing for the coming generations of Pakistan. Ayesha Masood Malik, a well-known writer and poet in the country, stated that SK Niazi was her second teacher after Majeed Nizami.
It was directed that vice chancellors, professors, and scholars from various universities be invited to their shows and their views shared with the nation; no other TV channel was willing to give these professors and scholars a minute, but we have sat in front of the TV for an hour every day, at a time when major media outlets are closing down. Launching a new TV channel, especially educational TV, is a huge heart and kidney task that only SK Niazi can do, he says. “I have always seen SK Niazi as my teacher.” At the end of the ceremony, Roze TV’s 10th birthday cake was also cut in the ceremony.
