Haris Rauf and Mohammad Nawaz each took three wickets as Pakistan destroyed the Netherlands for 186 in the second one-day global on Thursday in Rotterdam.

Bas de Leede (89) and Tom Cooper (66) each hit valiant half-centuries to rally the Dutch from an 8-3 deficit, but the hosts only had one other batter reach the double digits.

In the second over, Naseem Shah dismissed Vikramjit Singh after the young opener edged behind, and Max O’Dowd soon after when he drove Rauf directly to captain Babar Azam at mid-off.

Wesley Barresi, age 38, was dismissed for three runs by Shah two days after making only two runs in his first international innings since 2019.Cooper and De Leede started to bring things back into order and put up 109 runs for the fourth wicket.

Cooper scored 66 after hitting seven fours & two sixes before giving left-arm spinner Nawaz an easy return catch.

Three quick wickets fell as a result of his removal, with Teja Nidamanuru going without scoring after brushing Rauf down the legside and captain Scott Edwards being caught behind off Nawaz for five.

Shadab Khan’s first wicket came when Logan van Beek was grounded out to Shah on the long-off boundary for 13.

Tim Pringle attempted a second consecutive duck after Mohammad Wasim had pinned his leg, but Nawaz was able to get his third victim by sliding one through Aryan Dutt’s defence.
