Shah Mahmood Qureshi, a key politician of the PTI and a former foreign minister, asserted on Wednesday that he was beaten by his own party in the Punjab Assembly’s PP-217 constituency during the 2018 general elections. In a speech to the public about the approaching by-election in Multan, he said that “my own party colluded against me in the 2018 elections.” Qureshi claimed he was speaking honestly and had also informed Imran Khan that if Shah Mahmood had been an MPA from this area, the situation in Punjab would not be what it is today.
“If you do not consider in this manner, then the by-election date of July 17 will also pass and have no bearing. When the residents of PP-217 awaken,The residents of PP-217 need to wake up, he said. “What difference did it make to me to become the foreign minister, but it made a difference for you, Multan, and South Punjab. People had reportedly asked Qureshi not to run his son Zain in the by-election since losing the party’s vice chairman would be ‘insulting,’ according to Qureshi.
