New York: Salman Rushdie, a British novelist who has written blasphemous material against by the prophet of Islam (PBUH), was assaulted on stage in western New York state on Friday.
People can be seen coming to his help in social media video after he was attacked at the Chautauqua County festival; police confirmed the stabbing but did not immediately release the victim’s identity.
Without providing any other information, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office stated, “We can verify there was a stabbing.”Rushdie’s health wasn’t known right away.
