ISLAMABAD: The Finance Minister said PTI chief suggested the countrymen abroad to halt sending foreign currency to Pakistan, which was tantamount to damaging the national economy.
Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar Sunday said PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s proposal to overseas Pakistanis for sending foreign remittances through illegal means like ‘Hundi’ and ‘Hawala’ were violation of national and international rules.
In a statement, the Minister said Imran Khan was also misleading the overseas Pakistanis, giving them illegal advices to stop sending money through banks. He said the PTI chief also suggested the countrymen abroad to halt sending foreign currency to Pakistan, which was tantamount to damaging the national economy. Dar said the civil disobedience call given by PTI was reflective of the attempt to create anarchy and chaos in the country. DNA
