No institution can turn traitor by issuing treasonous edicts, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), which vehemently denounced the chief election commissioner’s (CEC) alleged “baseless claims” on Friday.
The ECP spokeswoman reacted strongly when the PTI chairman made further accusations against CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja in Khushab and called him a “traitor.” According to him, the ECP will keep making judgments in accordance with the Constitution and the law, without regard to who they will please.
He also made a remark in reaction to the news conference held by PTI Secretary General Asad Umar, during which the party leader leveled a number of accusations against the electoral body.
It is a vile propaganda tactic used to deceive the populace. In cooperation with other institutions, the Election Commission is committed to holding free, fair, and peaceful elections in 20 additional constituencies.
