ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday decided to hold a rally in Lahore on October 9 instead of planned rally in Islamabad and said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has run away from Lodhran by-poll, fearing that PML-N might do the same for NA-122 by-election.
Addressing a media conference, Khan said that it is highly likely PML-N will seek a stay order in Lahore’s NA-122 constituency as well.
He said Shehbaz Sharif also remained Punjab’s Chief Minister while ‘hiding’ behind a stay order. He alleged CM Punjab removed the judge who ruled against him.
PTI chief claimed that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and PML-N are united on this.
“Kazim Malik was given death threats by ministers”, he alleged. He said PTI will hold a rally in Lahore on October 9 to avoid confrontation and go to Islamabad later.
