Imran Khan visits quake-hit areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa


PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday has paid visits to quake-hit areas and Lady Reading Hospital to review emergency situation and meet the injured.

Khan has stepped out to monitor the situation after quake claimed at least 185 lives in the province on October 26.

The PTI leader, while talking to the media after he reached Peshawar said that the government would utilize all resources possible for rehabilitation of the affectees and quake-hit areas.

Khan said that the government body has resolved to review the infrastructure and devise a plan to construct jolt-resistant buildings. He admired the district and different administrations concerned for responding quickly to the situation.
Khan paid a visit to Timergara hospital later on and met the injured.

He would also pay visits to Dir, Swabi and Swat along with Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak, he added. Khan said that media and others have been barred from entering the hospital to avoid hindrance in medical assistance.The PTI chief said that his visit does not amount to any kind of VIP culture but it has been scheduled out of care for the affectess. Khan further said that at least 2,000 locals are injured while nearly 200 have lost lives. Khan also paid an aerial visit and reviewed the ongoing relief activities. Agencies
