Calls people from across country to reach Islamabad on Nov 30, thanks Qadri for sitting with PTI for more than two months but reject to follow his suit
GUJRAT, Oct 24 (INP): Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has said that he will not end the Islamabad sit-in till Prime Minister steps down and gave call to entire Pakistan to attend the sit-in in Islamabad on November 30. “I will not leave the container without PM’s resignation and will continue standing for human rights in Islamabad sit-in”, he added.
Addressing a huge gathering of PTI workers and supporters at Zahoor Elahi Stadium in Gujrat on Friday, Imran Khan said that PM Nawaz Sharif and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah should not even think that the sit-in will end without PM’s resignation. He alleged that the PM was tendering resignation because he has started several projects in which he was going to get commission but PTI will not end the sit-in without sending him to home.
“In case we exhausted all our resources, I would live in a tent but wouldn’t break my protest camp. Never”, said he urging supporters to donate as much as they can for the Islamabad sit-in and rallies around the country.
Imran Khan invited people from all parts of Pakistan to arrive in Islamabad on November 30 because the time for change has come. He said that every Pakistani will be raising ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans on November 30. “No matter how many containers Nawaz Sharif deploys on November 30, every Pakistani will arrive in Islamabad”, he claimed.
Thanking the people of Gujrat for a warm welcome and attendance in the rally, Imran Khan said that he could see a New Pakistan rising out of this Gujrat rally. He expressed grief over the suicide attack on Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazal (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazalur Rehman but said that he was really hurt by the words that JUI-F leader used for Pakistani women. “We talk of Iqbal’s Pakistan and Islam. Is that Western civilization”, asked Imran. He said that PTI wants women to contribute in national progress.
Thanking Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri and his followers for supporting the cause of PTI in Islamabad sit-in, Chairman PTI said that he can never forget their contribution. He said that PAT workers staged a very long sit-in along with him. He said that such a long sit-in was unprecedented in world history.
“I am cordially thankful to Dr Qadri led PAT for sitting in alongside PTI for over two months in Islamabad, but I am not going to give up on my quest for ‘New Pakistan’”..
Talking about the violation of working boundary by India, Imran Khan said that poverty can’t be ended through weapons. He said that Indian Prime Minister Narendera Modi has a golden opportunity to solve Kashmir issue but he is on the wrong path. “I’m listening to his speeches nowadays. He has been saying a lot against Pakistan lately which is by no means helpful for the peace between the two countries. Resolution of Kashmir issue can reduce poverty of the people living on both sides of the border”, said Imran.
Talking about the resignation of PTI MNAs, Imran said that Prime Minister is forbidding speaker from accepting the resignations. “Who is Nawaz Sharif to accept or reject our resignations”, asked Imran. He said that PTI has decided in principle that if any of its members attended National Assembly, his party membership will be cancelled. Imran Khan also announced to hold 2 rallies every week in Punjab after Muharram.
