ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that next general elections would be held soon due to his ongoing movement against alleged vote fraud.
Speaking to a private television channel Sunday, the PTI chief said polling is held in Sindh and Punjab on gunpoint.
“There is no use of contesting in the next elections unless the previous election is audited and those involved in rigging are held accountable,” he said.
To a question, he said that he has not called off his sit-in as he doesn’t trust Nawaz Sharif
Kha said that government was conducting a crackdown on PTI’s supporters. “Not a dictator does with political workers what this government was doing,” he said.
He said that Khawaja Saad Rafique could not win his seat without the rigging. “I have an eyewitness who sat ballot boxes being shifted to Rafique’s house,” he said.
“When a government is based on rigging, it is clear violation of constitution Art 218 of not having free and fair elections.”=DNA
