ISLAMABAD, Jan 09 (DNA): Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has finally tie knot with TV anchorperson Reham Khan and their nikkah ceremony was held at the Bani Gala residence of the PTI chief.
Imran Khan’s Nikkah with Reham Khan was offered at PTI chief’s Bani Gala residence in Islamabad in a simple ceremony attended by a few close relatives and friends
Mufti Saeed administered the Nikkah while Imran’s friends own between both personalities. Imran Khan’s close friends Zakir Khan and Awn Chaudhry were the witnesses of the marriage.
PTI Chairman wore the Sahrawian and special Peshawari sandal for the Nikkah. Photo session was also been carried out their. Only close friends and family members are participating in the ceremony.
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary General PTI and close friend of PTI chief, Imran Ismail said that the Nikkah was held in a simple ceremony due to the atmosphere of grief and sadness after Peshawar massacre.
He said that there was a plan of gran wedding ceremony, but it had to be cencelled after Peshawar tragedy.
Mufti Saeed, who administered Nikah (marriage contract) of PTI chief Imran Khan with anchorperson Reham Khan, officially announced the marriage on behalf of the newly-wed couple.
Talking to media persons outside Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence, Mufti Saeed said that Imran Khan had asked him to inform the media waiting outside the house on his behalf that he had formally tied the knot with Reham Khan.
Mufti Saeed said that one lakh rupees was fixed as Mehar. He added that Awn Chaudhry and Zakir Khan acted as witnesses on behalf of Imran Khan.
“Imran is in no mood to celebrate after the Peshawar tragedy,” Mazari added. “This is not a time to celebrate.”
Reham Khan is a British Pakistani journalist who started her career in the BBC as a weather forecaster. Later she worked for the network as a broadcast journalist. She joined Pakistani news channel News One in 2013 and is currently working as an anchor at a private television channel. DNA
