Imran favours Pakistan’s role to resolve Yemen problem instead of sending troops

I to decide for attending parliament session after consultation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that instead of sending troops in Yemen, Pakistan should play its positive role for resolution of the problem.

Talking to media persons at his Banigala residence on Thursday Imran Khan said he has read the report that Pakistan decided to send troops to Yemen. He said in the past Pakistan was made part of the US war against terrorism by speaking lies to the people. Keeping that in view, he said instead of joining the war, Pakistan should strive for restoration of peace there.

He said that PTI would take all the proofs to the Judicial Commission and preparations have been completed for this purpose.

In reply to a question, Imran Khan said the party would decide for attending the joint sitting of Parliament after due consultations.

About MQM, the PTI chief said it is time for the party to decide whether it would remain associated with militants wings or side with democracy. He demanded that by elections in NA-246 be held under the supervision of Rangers.  He said there should be no go area for any political party.

He invited Altaf Hussain to contest elections from Lahore and Mianwali and assured that he would not face any violent reaction, as was shown by the MQM during the visit of PTI leaders to Jinnah Ground.

The PTI Chief congratulated Barrister Sultan Mahmood for his victory in Mirpur elections.  He said in Mirpur, PML-N candidate withdraw papers in favour of PPP candidates while in Karachi, PPP has announced to support MQM. He said these parties are afraid of the popularity of PTI. He said these parties have taken six terms each by rotation and during their period, the rulers are getting rich and the people are going poorer
