ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan has challenged the PML-N to fill the Minar-e-Pakistan ground for once to prove its popularity as it grabbed all the seats from the provincial capital except one which went to PTI.
Talking to media persons after attending the Judicial Commission meeting at the supreme court here on Wednesday, Imran Khan said that the PTI held two packed to capacity meetings at Minar-e-Pakistan and if the PML-N has so much popularity among the electorates of Lahore, it should do so once.
He said Election Commission, Returning Officers and PML-N were in league to rig the 2013 elections. He said political decision was taken for rigging in selective constituencies. He referred to the regularisation of one lakh teachers in Punjab by Shahbaz Sharif ahead of the elections who also played their role.
The PTI chief termed the 2013 elections as most controversial and pointed out that there were no Form 15 in 40% vote bags. He pointed out that in the world there are either bloody revolutions or martial laws if a peaceful revolution through ballot is stopped and expressed the confidence that the outcome of the Judicial Commission will strengthen democracy in the country.
