Says people of Karachi feel liberated; military courts should continue as long as terrorism issue remains
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that the search and siege operation by Rangers at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarters Nine Zero is justified and admirable. He said that the people of Karachi would feel liberated by Rangers action.
He expressed these views while talking to the media here after meeting with NADRA Chairman. He said the raid at Nine Zero should have been made much earlier.
Imran said that if arms had been found in the office of PTI, it would have been banned.
He said if militant wing of MQMis eliminated, the whole of Pakistan including Karachi would achieve progress and prosperity because they have made the business hub hostage. He said MQM was responsible for the assassination of PTI leader Zahra Shahid.
He favoured that the military courts should continue as long as the menace of terrorism remains. Khan said that nobody is willing to testify against MQM in courts because people fear for their lives.
PTI chairman said that MQM would now be free of Altaf Hussain’s tyranny.
The PTI chief said that NA-122 recounting will become a test case for whole of the country and vowed that fake elections of 2013 would be exposed. He said it would be known in one month who is right and who is wrong about rigging in NA-122 and other constituencies.
