Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that the country’s economy is getting stable due to the government’s initiatives, the IMF was surprised how the Pakistani economy managed in 14 months.
While giving a press conference in Islamabad, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that foreign exchange reserves are increasing, inflation and policy rate have decreased, inflation has come down from 38 percent to seven percent. Steps are being taken to improve the economy under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
Mohammad Aurangzeb said that international financial institutions are increasing their trust in Pakistan, there was no secret talk with the IMF delegation, they will achieve the set goals for the improvement of the economy and the process of reforms is going on in all sectors, he said. IMF was surprised how Pakistani economy managed in 14 months, IMF has said that it is good to turn deficit into surplus in 14 months.
He further said that the four chief ministers have assured cooperation for the improvement of the economy. All sectors have to play their role for the improvement of the economy. He further said that there is a challenge of climate change and everyone has to work together to deal with the negative effects of climate change.
