ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday rejected a petition seeking ban on Altaf Hussain’s party Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
Justice Athar Minallah was hearing the petition filed by Barrister Masroor Shah on behalf of a citizen namely Mazhar Iqbal.
The plaintiff requested the court that a ban should be imposed on the MQM by declaring it a party run by foreign funding. He alleged that MQM is a threat to the national security.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) rejected the petition, saying that it is too early to decide on the matter.
