IGP Sindh proposes to provide jobs to 2 legal heirs of Shaheed cops

KARACHI (NNI):  IGP Sindh Ghulam Hyder Jamali has proposed that 2 legal heirs of Shaheed Police Personnel would be provided with the job in Police Department.

This was disclosed at a meeting presided over by AIGP Finance Fida Hussain Shah at CPO on Tuesday. He said that Police Department owns the sacrifices of police personnel and more welfare projects would also be initiated for the families of Shaheed police personnel.

He also reviewed status of all the cases pertaining to Shaheed / injury compensation/ financial assistance and directed to expedite the same on priority basis. “IGP Sindh has issued clear cut instructions to ensure early disposal of Shaheed compensation cases and negligence in this regard would not be tolerated”, he added.

AIGP Finance Sindh Police further reviewed various ongoing welfare schemes/projects with special reference to education and health facilities for the police employees and their family members. He also examined the modes of salary disbursement in police department and directed expeditious computerization of remaining manually drawn salaries throughout the province.

While reviewing the issues related to electricity billing and meter installations, the AIGP Finance constituted a 4 members committee to ensure reconciliation of electricity bills and installations of meters at all police facilities.

The committee will also ensure removal of, if any, illegal electricity connection in any residential and official facilities. The committee will be comprising of a focal person nominated from CPO, responsible representative of the residential police colonies, Police Inspector concerned and a representative of Karachi Electric. The committee has been given one week time to conduct survey and submit report to ensure compliance to the directives issued by IGP Sindh. NNI
