IG bars police from mishandling media men

ISLAMABAD (INP): Inspector General Police Islamabad Tahir Alam has asked police personnel to refrain from any kind of violence against media men.

Addressing police personnel at Margala road, IG Tahir Alam said no action should be taken against media persons even negative reporting against police on media.

Meanwhile, a total of nine cases of different nature have been registered against leaders and activists of PTI and PAT so far.

The charges include sedition, murder attempt and terrorism and officials earlier told media that more than 200 activists have already been arrested in Islamabad since Sunday night.
