ISLAMABAD: SK Niazi, Chief Editor of Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman of Roze News TV, spoke on the Sachi Baat program. He stated that the political parties are busy throwing mud at each other and that nothing is being done by the parties to solve the country’s problems.
Political parties should make efforts to bring the country’s economy in the right direction. If elections are held, whichever party loses will complain about rigging. Only politicians can fix politics. Continuity in economic policies is very important. Political parties should focus on moving the economy in the right direction.
Meanwhile, General (retd) Naeem Khalid Lodhi participated with SK Niazi in the Sachi Baat programme via Skype. He stated, “The decision of the Lahore High Court is very clear; Pakistan cannot run by the will of any party leader; the defeat of PDM is clear; deviation from the constitution is not possible; regarding the election, the government has to follow the court decision.”Economic stability is not possible without political stability in the country; Imran Khan did not say that there was no conspiracy; Ishaq Dar has met the President of the State; and Imran Khan has adopted a strict stance in some matters.
Similarly, Farrukh Saleem, an economist, joined SK Niazi on the programme “Sachi Baat” via Skype. He stated, “IMF conditions will have to be accepted, which will lead to inflation; the IMF rules are clear; the IMF deals with countries, not personalities; every time a new finance minister comes, he puts a new truck behind the light; our problems are not economic but political; we had to pay a huge price economically for political decisions; we should not expect much from the IMF; the elites are busy fighting among themselves.”Farrukh Saleem said the economy cannot be fixed until there is continuity in economic policies.
