ISLAMABAD: Senior Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Asad Umar has said that PTI will come into power after the upcoming General Election 2018, however he will quit politics and leave PTI if Imran Khan will join Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) to form the next government.
He expressed these views in an exclusive interview with Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze TV Sardar Khan Niazi in his famous political talk show “Sachi bat” on Wednesday, he said that intelligence/information sharing has key role in combating terrorism and terrorism can’t be overcome without intelligence sharing. He condemned the recent terrorist attack on the public gathering of Awami National Party that killed 20 people including a prominent political leader of the party, Haroon Bilour.
While answering a question Asad Umar said that growing shortage of water is a serious issue of our country and at the moment there is absence of national water policy and there seems no urgency to deal with the grave issue. He assured that after winning the elections and forming national government PTI shall establish a comprehensive water policy to eliminate the growing threats of water shortage in the country.
While Talking about the issues of residents of Islamabad Asad Umar said that even residents of federal capital lack facilities of safe and clean drinking water. He further said that land grabbing mafia is also active in the city.
He said that he believes that Imran Khan is going to be the next prime minister of Pakistan as he sees PTI to win the oncoming elections comprehensively. He said that people are aware with the fact that after giving multiple terms to both PMLN and PPP their issues and problems are not solved. He said that people need strong institutions, fare and transparent administration, smooth systems, better health and education facilities and mere some metro bus or orange train projects. PML-N and PPP have taken turns of Power but didn’t solve basic problems of people.
Specifically talking about the political scenario of Islamabad, Asad Umer said that PTI has high vote in rural areas and party’s position is strong except in some union councils of (UCs) Islamabad. He said that he will personally try to solve problems of Islamabadians on priority basis.
