Karachi: The captain of the national white ball team, Mohammad Rizwan, has said that he did not ask for the captaincy, but he did not refuse it when it was given to him by Allah.

Speaking to the media at a local hotel in Karachi, Mohammad Rizwan said that the tour of Australia and Zimbabwe is very important, efforts will be made to perform better, there are high hopes from the young players, Fakhar Zaman will be missed.

Mohammad Rizwan said that the issue of appointment of coaches is the decision of PCB, Pakistan cricket team for the tour of Australia and Zimbabwe is a combination of senior and juniors, there was lack of time for the series, better performance is expected.

He said that Aqib Javed performed his duty brilliantly in the Test series against the visiting England cricket team in Pakistan, Australia has difficult conditions, the preparation of the pitches there is not in our hands.

In response to a question about Fakhar Zaman, he said that Fakhar Zaman is a world-class player, no one can disagree with his abilities, but some decisions are not in our power, the management decides, regarding Fakhar Zaman. I have spoken to the person in charge of PCB, I hope that a good solution will come out.

Mohammad Rizwan said that he will take a good decision regarding the opening pair, the focus is on the Champions Trophy and the World Cup in India, both of which are the most important events for which full preparations will be made.

In response to the question regarding Pakistan’s leadership delay, Muhammad Rizwan said that I did not ask for the captaincy. Pay the responsibility.

He said that as the vice-captain I have had the best understanding with all the players, I try to have a good relationship with every player, every player will be the captain, difficulties come to everyone, captaincy is a test for me, I have faced challenges. Always taken positively.

He further said that our fans are eager for the arrival of the Indian cricket team, if the Indian cricket team comes to Pakistan to participate in the Champions Trophy, they will welcome it with an open heart.
