ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar concluded her three-day visit to Germany on Friday (June 14-17, 2022).
During his visit, the Minister led Pakistan’s delegation to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) plenary meeting in Berlin. She also met with her German counterpart, Tobias Lindner; Niels Annen, German Parliamentary Secretary of State for Economic Cooperation and Development; and Juergen Cosse, Member of the German Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
At an event organised by the Mission in collaboration with the Federal Association of Economic Development & Foreign Trade and Korrespondenten Café, the Minister of State also held an interactive session with a diverse group of local journalists, representatives from think tanks, media houses, former diplomats, and academicians. She also spoke with journalists from Deutsche Welle (DW), Die Welt, and other local news organisations.
Secretary Tobias Lindner warmly welcomed MoS Khar to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs on June 16, 2022, and congratulated her on her appointment. Both parties expressed a desire to strengthen bilateral relations in all areas, particularly climate change, green energy, and labour mobility. The Minister of State emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of labour mobility and technical and vocational training.
