LAHORE, Oct 28 (INP): Notorious Gullu Butt, who rose to prominence after his acts of vandalism in Lahore during PAT-police clash in June, said on Tuesday that he is confident of being freed from all the cases.
Speaking to media after appearing in the court here, Butt lamented that he was being projected as if all terrorist activities in Pakistan was being carried out by him.
“Is it me carrying out drone strikes in Waziristan or firing along Sialkot border,” he asked in an apparent infuriated tone.
Butt said media was the proof of his honesty. Butt earned wrath of different segments of society when he was captured live by TV channels smashing public property during a clash between Pakistan Awami Tehreek activists and police in Model Town on June 17, 2014 that claimed over 20 lives, most of them the PAT members.
He led the police team in vandalizing the property around Model Town.
Earlier, the anti-terrorism court adjourned the hearing of Model Town case against Butt, whose real name is Shahid Nazeer, after recording statement of investigation officer concerned.
