KARACHI (NNI): A meeting of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) held on Saturday, headed by the party’s deputy convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui in Karachi’s Azizabad, asked the government to pay attention to the demands of protesters staging sit-in in Islamabad.

Siddiqui said it was the need of the hour that the government proceeded with prudence and took consensus from others over the prevailing political crisis, adding that the leadership of the protesting parties should also act patiently.

The meeting was attended by MQM leaders Dr Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Kanwar Khalid Younis, Babar Ghouri, Nasrin Jalil and some party members.
