ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the government has received Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf s (PTI) request to stage a sit-in in Islamabad and it will be permitted to enter Islamabad in  next few minutes .
Nisar also informed that Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has contacted the administration verbally. “PAT s request is also expected to reach us shortly”, said Chaudhry Nisar.
Nisar said that various groups of PTI workers have reached Islamabad but they were not allowed to enter because the administration had not received any formal request from PTI. He said that the government had decided not to let anyone enter Islamabad for any political activity without formal request.
Interior Minister said that PAT march is expected to reach Islamabad tomorrow (Friday) morning. He said that according to administration s communication with the PTI, its rally had to reach Islamabad tonight, but since they are still stuck up in Lahore, it is also expected to reach Islamabad tomorrow morning.
Nisar informed that the government will facilitate both the marches. However, the security of the Red Zone has been tripled, told Nisar. He said that both the parties have assured that they will not try to enter the red zone and if they did, the security will deal with them with an iron hand. Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader said that he will bear responsibility of any force used in case of PTI or PAT workers trying to breach security.
“Security of every citizen is dear to us but there are certain international obligations that force us to give additional security to the Red Zone”, Nisar told.
Interior Minister said that nobody will be allowed to bring weapons with him. On a question, Nisar said that the government has made security arrangements for 1 million people. Agencies
