ISLAMABAD, 19 NOV (DNA) -Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that the government might complete another year but the ‘new Pakistan’ is not too far.
Addressing a meeting of PTI Punjab’s lawmakers and office bearers, Khan said that the people are fed up of the ‘old system’ and ‘old faces’ adding that PTI is taking to streets on November 30 for the sake of the country.
Imran Khan directed his party’s leaders, office bearers and workers to bring as many people as they could to Islamabad on Nov 30. “Don’t get disappointed if justice is not doled out to you on Nov 30.” He said the people who are tired of the current system are looking at the PTI for a ‘change’. He said the amount of donations PTI has received assures him that the ‘change’ has already come.
He accused Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former President Asif Ali Zardari of making a plan in London to thwart PTI’s rally. “I know who had made this London plan. And I know this is against you,” Khan told his supporters.
“Once you are in power by any mean, Pakistani system cannot deliver justice. It has been set up in a way that it only sides with the powerful,” he said. Khan lamented that “our system was mighty and powerful.”
Khan said that he was undeterred by the government’s move to stop his rally. “I am not going anywhere. We will call our workers again after two weeks. And we can do it again and again.”
The PTI chief called upon the nation to reach Islamabad for the sake of their children’s future and rise against the outdated system. The whole nation is looking towards Tehreek-e-Insaf, he said.
He warned that government would complete its term if people did not participate in PTI’s rally on Nov 30. Khan said he felt that government would drag its life for another year. If people did not take to the streets on November 30, the government will complete its five-year life, he added.
“I am sure the change is not coming… it has already been brought about,” he told workers. He said: “Until we rise against this oppressive system, we cannot get justice.” A meeting of PTI Punjab’s lawmakers and office bearers took place under headship of Imran Khan on Wednesday. The preparations and strategies were finalized in the meeting.
Addressing the gathering, PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that everyone is invited to participate in PTI’s rally scheduled for November 30, adding that all of the government’s tricks to fail the plan will be foiled. The party leadership also assigned various responsibilities to the office bearers. DNA
