ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Thursday strongly condemned the incident of firing on the van of Dawn News in Karachi.
Talking to media he said that such attacks tantamount to attack on freedom of expression which we will never accept.
He underlined that in coordination with the provincial Governments the federal government is taking all possible measures to ensure the safety and security of media persons.
He urged the Provincial Governments to take an immediate cognizance of the incident to bring the culprits to book.
I pray to Almighty Allah for early recovery of the injured, he added.
