LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says the government is fully committed to eliminate the scourge of terrorism.
He stated this while addressing a meeting with the representatives of the Christian community in Lahore on Wednesday.
Shahbaz Sharif said the worst act of terrorism took place in Lahore, has shocked the whole nation.
He said that the terrorist wanted to create rifts and division among the nation and to ignite communal riots in the country.
The Chief Minister said that the counter-terrorism National Action Plan (NAP) is being enforced to curb terrorism and it is yielding productive results.
The chief minister said that the assassins who are involved in the killing of innocent persons by burning them alive would be brought to justice and would be awarded exemplary punishment as per the law.
