Islamabad: Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the parliamentary party leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in the Senate and the head of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, has said that the four demands of PTI are imaginary balloons, the government is not negotiating on them. PTI can be given any concession in this regard.
In an interview given to private TV, Irfan Siddiqui said that these four demands are non-sorter. PTI has announced a protest on November 24 and has come to Bandh Gali. He is looking for any excuse to get out of it. Senior PTI leaders themselves are scrambling to avoid embarrassment.
He said that they cannot be called serious negotiations. Imran Khan, during his rule, made up false and ridiculous cases like treason, ephedrine, heroin and mercenary and put the opposition in jails while we never did.
Irfan Siddiqui said that there are solid cases against Imran Khan and all his associates. In response to the question, does Nawaz Sharif want to see Imran Khan in jail? Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that Nawaz Sharif is not this type of politician. He had talked about forgetting the past as soon as he came from London.
He said that Imran Khan is in jail due to his serious crimes and is facing trials. Did Nawaz Sharif ask Tosha Khana watches and jewelery to be sold in the markets of Dubai? Did Nawaz Sharif ask for 190 million pounds to grab the land and create the so-called Al-Qadir Trust? Did Nawaz Sharif carry out attacks on two and a half hundred military installations?
Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that if there are any reasonable demands, let’s talk, but we cannot talk about absurd demands like abolishing the twenty-sixth amendment, returning the mandate, ending the cases and releasing all the prisoners.
He said that General Bajwa has confessed to rigging the 2018 elections. He had told Maulana Fazlur Rahman that “Yes, we wanted to win Imran Khan, but the spice was a bit too much.”
Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that it is good if PTI withdraws the call of November 24, otherwise the government will fulfill its duty to protect the life and property of the people under the constitution and law.
