ISLAMABAD: No one among us has second opinion on Khatam e Nabuwwat (finality of Prophet Muhammad P.B.U.H) and we all stand in the same line when it comes to defending the law, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, Senator Babar Awan said while talking in Roze News program Sachi Baat on Tuesday.
Speaking about the ongoing Faizabad sit-in, he said that Khatam e Nabuwwat isn’t only a part of constitution but of Electoral Reform Bill as well. The later got manipulated on the instructions of top ranking leadership of the government.
He said that Nawaz Sharif himself made a committee under Zafar ul Haq to investigate the matter and is now not revealing the report of the committee.
Speaking about the issue of corruption, he said that unlike commoners, Sharif family is seeking refuge from transparent trial. He further added that from fake Aashiyana scheme to Sasti Roti Project, each and every project had an element of corruption.
The Senator said that the corrupt practices of government are harming the country. He said that opposition has endlessly fought against this corrupt government. He further said that Hudaibiya Paper Mills case is a living example of the corrupt practices of Sharif who is rightly been likened to Godfather.
Baber Awan, while comparing the corrupt leaders to Imran Khan said that he raised Shaukat Khanum hospital by struggling like a common man and he can in no way be compared to the Sicilian mafia (referring to Sharif family) who has been fooling the nation by their contradictory statements.
He added that Imran Khan always stood against nepotism in the politics. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police speaks of the transparency that has been introduced under Imran Khan’s leadership.
KP education, health and all other sectors have been improved tremendously. He said the entire country should follow the same model, otherwise we won’t ever be able to progress.
