MULTAN/ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister (PM) Yousaf Raza Gilani has assured to have settled all the matters with Afghan government about his abducted son Ali Haider Gillani and hoped for his early recovery.

While talking to the media at his residence in Multan, former PM lauded the efforts made by Afghan government in tracing his son and stated that an agreement has been signed with Al-Qaeda for Ali Haider’s conditional release.

He said that the kidnappers have demanded to free their detained accomplices.

According to reports, former Prime Minister on Monday visited the headquarters of intelligence agency, ISI, to discuss the abduction of his son.

Gilani met the DG ISI Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar and briefed him about his telephonic conversation with Ali Haider Gilani. DG ISI assured Gilani of full cooperation from the intelligence agency.

He also told the DG ISI about discussion with Afghan officials.
