There is hope for Fortnite gamers on both Apple’s Mac and iPhone iOS platforms; and that comes courtesy of Nvidia.
You will now be able to play Fortnite on Apple devices, but only via GeForce now – a new cloud-streaming service that lets you play games via Apple’s Safari browser.
This lets gamers get around the Apple ban on Fortnite, after the Cupertino-based company blocked Epic Games from releasing updates for its popular Battle Royale game after it tried to dodge App Stores revenues. Currently, the companies are locked in a legal battle.
“GeForce NOW is streaming on iOS Safari, in beta, starting today,” Nvidia said in a blog post on Thursday.
“That means more than 5 million GeForce NOW members can now access the latest experience by launching Safari from iPhone or iPad.”
“Were looking forward to delivering a cloud-streaming Fortnite mobile experience powered by GeForce NOW. Members can look for the game on iOS Safari soon,” the blog said.
More than 750 PC games are now available on GeForce NOW – and Nvidia has said that there will be new games added weekly.
